A solid oak garden gate is a beautiful way to welcome people into your home (or garden). We created this beautiful oak garden gate with traditional mortise and tenon joints. The new gate was designed to replace their 30-year-old gate. Some of our clients request information on the cost of items such as garden gates. This is concrete evidence that paying that bit more for a quality product is well worth it. If this means you are able to enjoy many more years with it, instead of replacing it multiple times, then it is well worth it.
Oak is known as a high-grade and top-quality type of wood. It is incredibly versatile and offers great options for any joinery project. We stand firm in our view of only using the highest quality materials for our clients. Does this mean that you could get it cheaper another way? Yes. However, with this comes the confidence that we create only the best possible products.

A mortise and tenon joint are a more traditional method of joinery. What is a mortise and tenon joint? This can be described as “a means of joining two pieces of wood at an angle (usually 90°) to each other. A protruding tenon, cut at the end of one piece, fits into a corresponding recess, called a mortise, in the other.” When you are joining two posts together, it is always advisable to choose a mortise and tenon joint as it is the strongest, when applicable.
All of most of our projects are completed within our joinery workshop. This is full of different types of machinery. While many traditional methods were completed using manual processes, this machinery helps to offer even higher-grade finishes.
Our client was so pleased with their new gate. If you would like to request information or a quote for a joinery project, please get in touch by calling 07887 987427.
