Fitting oak doors needs an understanding of the challenges that can be faced with fitting new doors. It can sometimes be a simple and straightforward process. However, it can also sometimes be a real challenge. This is more likely to be the case if you are buying oak doors off the shelf. The fact is that your home and your doorway is individual. It therefore is better to have a tailored approach to the fitting process.

This will also offer you further benefits as they will be better fitting. There is nothing worse that a door that scratches along your floor, does not close properly or is ill-fitting. Joinery is a craft, and we bring our time-served experience to each project that we complete.

Fitting Oak Doors

These are some Oak doors we recently fitted in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. We were given a scope for work and the wooden doors were created in our Arclid workshop. Wood is an incredible and timeless material. It offers warmth, depth and character to any space. These particular doors completely changed the hallway where they were fitted. The doors were given three coats of Osmo oil to create a great finish.

Wood finishes can also be quite complex. When you finish your wood, it is important that you select one that will appropriately fit your needs. It is also important that you select one that is long-lasting and will not discolour. We are happy to offer information and advice in relation to this.

Our client was really happy. Squirrel Joinery is a Holmes Chapel based company with over 30 years’ experience in the trade.
