MDF wood panelling is growing a lot in its popularity. It is a cost-effective way of making a real statement within your home. It is also not biased to any type of property. MDF panelling suits both traditional and modern homes. There are different options available to ensure that we are able to find the best solution for you.
Wall Panelling heights are generally split into 3 groups:
- 900mm high or just under the window
- 2000mm high or four fifths of the height of the room
- full height up to the ceiling
Modern properties tend to favour options 1 or 3. Option 2 tends to suit older properties better. You will often find this design with a plate rail or house ornaments on top. It is a very traditional style but can look incredible within the right home.
This is a picture of a wall which we panelled. It was a 70’s house but the walls were nice and flat so we could just fix the 88mm x 9mm straight to the wall.
How is the MDF Wood Panelling placed?
The wood Panelling is placed and fitted with a Lazor. This means that it is perfectly level and measured exactly. This is incredibly important with a project such as this. Imperfections such as a slightly unlevel panel will be very visible once the project is complete. Time spent on planning and measuring the panels will pay dividends to the end result.
