We generally work within the Cheshire area. However, demand for our services sometimes take us further afield. We were asked by our client to produce some architrave to match a very distinctive property in Chester. Based on previous experience on what works and great and input from the customer, we came up with this design. It looks great and the customer was really happy.
Did the client need to do this? No. Would it have been cheaper to replace it with standard architrave? Yes. However, the result would have been no where near as good as what we achieved. The detail brought incredible character to their home. There was no doubt that they made the correct decision and it was a privilege to be part of that process.
What does bespoke mean? It means something that is made for a particular customer or user. This allows us to draw on our experience and passion for what we do. Do you have a joinery project that you need help with designing? We would very much appreciate the opportunity to work with you.
Architrave is interior moulding that sits around the door frame. Typically, architrave is available in a range of materials. They add a decorative touch to the interior of your home, which can be finished with either paint, stain or varnish.
What are some of the challenges when fitting architrave?
It is imperative that the angles are cut exactly as required. If angles are slightly off, it creates problems for fitting.
Essentially you are fitting new wood to old walls. This frequently creates issues that need sorting to ensure the architrave fits snugly and looks like it has always been there.
